Zila Granthalaya Bilaspur is one of the important knowledge centres of Bilaspur city that plays a significant role in promoting reading habits, self-learning, and intellectual development among students, researchers, and general readers. During my internship period, I had the opportunity to closely observe the functioning, services, and overall environment of the library, which provided me with valuable practical exposure in the field of Library and Information Science.

The library offers a peaceful and learner-friendly atmosphere that motivates users to read and study effectively. The reading halls are well utilized by students preparing for competitive examinations, school and college learners, and regular readers. The collection of books, newspapers, magazines, and reference materials reflects the library’s commitment toward supporting educational and informational needs of the community. The library also provides circulation and reference services for its users.

One of the most appreciable aspects of the library is its dedication toward promoting reading culture in society. The management continuously works for user satisfaction through proper organization of resources and reader-oriented services. The initiative of maintaining a weblog and promoting awareness about library services demonstrates the progressive vision of the library administration.

I was highly impressed by the guidance and support provided by Mrs Shraddha Sharma I/C and the library staff. Their cooperative attitude, professional behavior, and commitment toward library services helped me understand practical aspects such as classification, circulation, user services, shelving, and library management techniques. The internship experience enriched my professional knowledge and enhanced my understanding of modern library services.

The library also has great potential for future development through increased digitization, automation, user orientation programmes, and integration of ICT-based services. In today’s digital era, public libraries like Zila Granthalaya Bilaspur can become strong community learning centres by expanding e-resources and digital literacy initiatives.

Overall, my internship experience at Zila Granthalaya Bilaspur was highly informative, inspiring, and professionally enriching. I sincerely appreciate the efforts of the library administration and staff in maintaining an excellent environment for readers and learners. The internship not only strengthened my academic understanding but also inspired me to contribute positively toward the development of library and information services in society.

बिलासपुर के तिलक नगर स्कूल परिसर में स्थापित जिला ग्रंथालय इस शहर की पहचान ‌ है विभिन्न विषयों की पुस्तकें ‌व्यवस्थित तरीके सजा कर इस ‌तरह रखी गईं हैं कि‌ तत्काल मिल जातीं हैं यहां के कर्मचारी हमेशा शांत भाव से पाठकों की मदद में लगे रहते हैं। मैं यहां की सदस्य हूं यह संस्थान मेरी और मुझ जैसे लेखकों की आवश्यकता है ।यह मेरा पुस्तकालय है।

My internship at the District Library in Bilaspur has been an enriching and valuable experience. Having the opportunity to learn from experienced mentors has been especially rewarding. The library offers a fantastic opportunity to gain firsthand knowledge of daily library operations and expand my understanding of the library field. Throughout my internship, I actively participated in all necessary tasks, fulfilling the requirements for partial completion of my course outline.

District Library of Bilaspur has so many potential books in every field and subject. During my internship, the staff members were incredibly helpful in providing me with practical knowledge and experience in a library environment. I was able to apply the knowledge that I had studied in books in real library setting and it helped me to understand it better. My internship gave me valuable knowledge and experience that will help me in future career in library.

District library - I have been a member here for almost 3 years. Library means house or store of books.  Our district library is very good, it is a good place for study, all the staff and ma'am here are very nice, they help us if we have any problem, almost all types of books are available here and the book which is not available is given to us.  The books are ordered here, they are kept well organized and the serial numbers of the books have also been posted in the website of the library due to which we get the books easily. Many expensive books are available here so that we do not have to buy them from outside.  District Library has helped me a lot in my studies. I always take help from the books here and will continue to do so. I am able to study well in the library without any problem. Thank you to all the staff and ma'am

जिला ग्रन्थालय बिलासपुर (छःग)     इस ग्रन्थालय में पुस्तकों का संग्रह अति उत्तम है, सभी विषयों पर पठनीय सामाग्री उपलब्ध है, समय-समय पर पाठकों से सुझाव लेकर नई पुस्तकें मंगवाई जाती है यह एक अच्छी परंपरा है। इस ग्रन्थालय में यद्यपि स्टाफ की कमी है फिर भी सभी मृदुभाषी एवं व्यवहार कुशल हैं नये सदस्यो के साथ सहयोगात्मक है। ग्रन्थालय साफ सुथरा है किन्तु मेरे विचार से यहाँ एयर कंडीशनर की वयवस्था होनी चाहिए ताकि यहाँ पाठक खासकर छात्र एवं वरिष्ठ जन सुकून भरे वातावरण में अध्यापन कार्य कर सके इसी तरह वाटर डिसपेनसर की भी वयवस्था हो

जिला ग्रंथालय बिलासपुर, मैं ग्रंथालय  का करीब 10 वर्षो से सदस्य हूं पूर्व में यह तिलकनगर स्कूल के एक छोटे कमरे में संचालित था तथा केवल 1 स्टाफ पदस्थ था तथा पुस्तको का रखराखव भी व्यवस्थित नही था बाद में इसे स्कूल परिसर में ही नए भवन में स्थान्तरित किया गया तथा ग्रंथपाल एवम अन्य स्टाफ के पदस्थ होने के बाद पस्तको का समुचित रखरखाव किया जा रहा है । यहां पुस्तको का अति उत्तम संग्रह है । साहित्यक उपन्यास एवम अन्य विषयों पर पठनीय सामग्री उपलब्ध है तथा पाठको की उपयोगिता एवम उनकी आवश्यक ता अनुसार उनसे सुझाव लेकर पुस्तके मंगवाई जा रही है जो कि अच्छी परम्परा की शुरुवात है । यहाँ पर पाठको के बैठने की उचित व्यवस्था है जिसमे प्रतियोगी परीक्षा एवम अन्य परीक्षा में सम्मिलित होने वाले छात्र हमेशा पढ़ते देखे जा सकते हैं ग्रंथालय का रखरखाव बहुत अच्छा है परिसर हमेशा साफ सुथरा रहता है जो कि पढ़ने के लिए अनुकूल वातारण देता है सभी स्टाफ मृदुभाषी एवम सहयोगी हैं।

बिलासपुर स्थित जिला ग्रंथालय अवकाश के समय का सकारात्मक उपयोग करने के लिए पाठ्य सामग्री उपलब्ध कराते हुए परिवर्तन एवं विश्रांति प्रदान करने का काम करता है। खाली समय का स्वस्थ एवं सकारात्मक उपयोग करवाना जिला ग्रंथालय का एक महत्त्वपूर्ण कार्य है। हमें उपन्यास, पत्र-पत्रिकाएँ, समाचार पत्र एवं अन्य सामग्री मनोरंजनात्मक पठन की सुविधा प्रदान करते है ।

हमारा जिला ग्रंथालय बड़ों के साथ-साथ बच्चों के सर्वांगीण विकास के लिए समर्पित है।

ग्रंथालय की उपयोगिता समाज में  ज्ञनवर्धन मनोरंजन के लिए बहुत आवश्यक होती है। जिला ग्रंथालय बिलासपुर भी अपनी  उपयोगिता लगातार सिद्ध करता रहा है।

वैसे बहुत साहित्यकारों की रचना ग्रंथालय बिलासपुर में उपलब्ध है पर अच्छे विदेशी साहित्य का हिंदी अनुवाद भी होना चाहिए। किताबों की सुचि कंप्यूटर में भी होना चाहिए ताकि लेखक की रचना या उपन्यास के नाम से ग्रंथालय में उपलब्ध किताब आसानी से, कम समय में खोजी जा सके। ये मेरा सुझाव है ।धन्यवाद

स्कूल शिक्षा विभाग का आलोक पूरे प्रदेश में फैल रहा है। मैंने जिला ग्रंथालय बिलासपुर में इंटर्नशिप किया मुझे जिला ग्रंथालय से बहुत कुछ सीखने को मिला। जिला ग्रंथालय सुव्यवस्थित रूप से संचालित हो रहा पुस्तको का राखराखव, व्यवस्थित स्थापना,ग्रंथालय के अधिकारी कर्मचारियों का वयवहार व सिखाने की पहल अच्छा लगा। मेरे जीवन मे जिला ग्रंथालय ने जो सिख लिया है वह मेरे जीवन के लिए बहुत महत्व रखेगा। विभाग को मैं धन्यवाद ज्ञापित करती हूं ।

I always wanted a peaceful environment to study where there is a comfortable seating arrangement and people around to guide me. I got this facility in this district library .Lovely staff and very prompt response ,fab facilities.Here books are available for the aspirants preparing for any exam.I saw all types of books here, which are necessary for the success of a student....I thank this library and all it's members  for such a good service.

District Library of Bilaspur, situated in a central location of the city which provide a great access to readers. I got the opportunity in the form of internship for being a part of this Library ,it has been an incredible experience. I have really appreciated the valuable guidance during the duration of my internship. I have learned so much about Library and its daily working, stock management and its operation. Look forward to applying everything i learned here in my future career.

The library has always been an important place for me, but I found it even more valuable during my internship. The library  has a good collection of books, different variety for different age group. The librarian mam was always ready to help me find the right books or suggest useful references , the library has been an essential support for both my regular studies and my internship.

Hello myself Abhishek Gahawai, maine apna summer internship District Library, Tilak Nagar Bilaspur se kiya. Ye Bilaspur ka one of the best library hai pr kaafi logo ko yaha k bare me pata nahi. Books ki baat kre toh yaha 10,000+ books different genre ke . Physical infrastructure ki baat kre toh yaha 35-40 logo k lie ample ventilated space h. Pr jo sbse part hai wo yaha k staff hai,Shraddha Sharma Mam jo ki yaha ki incharge hai inhone kaafi help kri throughout the internship and kaafi sare knowledge wali baatein btayi jo ki definitely useful sabit hongi. Last but not the least if aap Bilaspur ke ho toh yaha atleast ek baar visit kre especially pdhai wale students.

During my internship at the District Library, Bilaspur, I learned how a library works in real life. I helped with tasks like issuing and returning books, shelving, and keeping records. I also learned about cataloguing, and arranging books.

The librarian Mam was very helpful and guided me well throughout the training. The library has a good collection of books in Hindi, English, and other languages. It also provides newspapers, magazines, reading space, and reference materials for students and the public.

This experience improved my skills and showed me how the library supports education and promotes reading in the community. Overall, it was a useful and practical learning experience.
